When entering contests that require images to be taken, we ask that you follow the guidelines below for best potential to win:

Light up the model best you can. Studio lighting is not necessary but make sure there is PLENTY of lighting to capture the model in it's entirety.
Show off all angles of your model. Get as many shots from all the angles as you can. The general rule of thumb is capture 4 corners and 4 sides from both a level angle (same height as the model) and a bird's eye view shot (looking down at a 45 degree angle). By doing this, you will be able to review your images and pick the one that best showcases your model. And if you win, we may ask you to submit ALL angle images.
Keep the background simple. Ideally white wall and white background help eliminate unnecessary distractions in the shot (we really do not need to see what you drank for lunch while you were modeling the unit, or what color your dirty underwear on the floor is). Eliminate all objects that are irrelevant from the contest to get optimal results. Don't worry. We still score you on originality but may ask you to get some more "staged" shots of the model should you be chosen as the winner.
Underage? Consider the legality of the matter! If you are underage, please do not include yourself in the photo as we would then legally require adult consent to showcase your winning image and our lawyers charge us through the teeth to get a contract out to your parents so please be considerate and help us feed our community with prizes instead of our lawyers pockets with money.
